Blue Plane: A reminder of the oldest creatures on earth
If art is the sister of freedom, as the poet and philosopher Friedrich Schiller said, then Iunderstand that art and freedom arrive from the same stem. The human being, according to Schiller, is in its perfect form when he,she and it is playing. Playfulness ignites adventure, fantasy and fiction. There the human being also finds freedom.
The goal of the performance is to seek out this freedom, play and strive to be the person Schiller is talking about. The performance Blue Plane: A Reminder of the Earth's Oldest Creatures is a kind of visual movement - choral work in which participants align their strings like fish in a fish pond. The work is an attempt to engage in cosmic movement and sound communication with Mother Earth and
find rhythm in the human-earth cooperation.
