Guðrún Vera Hjartardóttir
For as long as I can remember, my deepest aspiration has been to awaken something within people—to inspire them to connect with their true selves and celebrate life. It was this intrinsic desire that naturally guided me toward the path of art, joining a timeless lineage of artists who have grappled with this very core of human experience.
To simply shape a material and place it within a space is not inherently complex; yet, material presence alone is never enough. Art requires enchantment. The artist must act as a catalyst of wonder, possessing the rare ability to breathe life into an object, much like a wand waving in a fairy tale to bring a wooden puppet to life.
This vitality, however, does not reside within the physical medium itself. It awakens within the viewer the moment they form a resonance with the artwork, stirring something profound within them. It is at this precise intersection—where the alchemy of art transforms perception—that my fascination and devotion lie.

The artwork is a place where the viewer sees himself, his own feelings, thoughts and experiences.
